Activation and balancing Root Chakra

The Muladhara Chakra earth element and red in color. A Balanced Root Chakra creates a solid foundation for opening all the other six chakras. When the Muladhara Chakra is balanced, a person experiences stability, confidence, energy, and strength.

muladhara is the first and base of all chakras, its influences are the base of our whole being. It gives us our sense of groundedness and security, as well as the feelings of safety and stability. Imbalance can make us feel ungrounded, fearful, and lower our self-esteem.
In yoga, the root chakra is engaged when you feel the most supported by the earth. Practicing poses like Mountain, Side-Angle, Warrior, Standing Forward Fold, and Bridge is a great way to recenter your mind, body, and spirit and welcome positive energy.
A balanced root chakra can provide emotional strength in the face of fear and anxiety. This results in feeling grounded and secure. An imbalance in the Root Chakra can cause a variety of mental illnesses and stress which can also affect overall physical wellness.

There are various methods - chanting the chakra's bija mantra many, many times, stimulating the chakra's kshetram (a pressure point on the body between the perineum and the coccyx), worshipping Ganapati, meditating upon the shining Dakini, and practicing Yogic techniques like Mula Bandha, Garudasana,

Breathing exercise to balance root chakra

Another easy way to awaken the Muladhara chakra is to breathe through the chakra. Sit in any meditative pose with spine erect. Breathe normally. Take you attention to the location of the chakra (Perineum in males and cervix in females). Take a slow and deep breath and imagine that you are breathing in through the Muladhara chakra and then breathing out slowly through it. Continue this process for 5 to 10 minutes. When we breathe through our nostrils, we feel the air coming in and going out. Same way, visualise and imagine that air is coming in through the chakra and going out through the chakra. This is only a visualisation. This process, helps to remove lot of blocks and to awaken the Muladhara chakra
